Quick start

Recommendations work as soon as the plugin is active. These steps tailor them and, optionally, add AI.

1. Check the product page

Open any product: "You may also like" shows four products. On Placements → Product Page, change the heading and number, and turn on Replace WooCommerce Related Products so shoppers see one list instead of two.

2. Style the cards

Appearance: choose the image shape, what each card shows (price, rating, sale badge, add to cart icon) and colors that match your theme.

3. Help the rules

Rule-based ranking favors a product's up-sells and cross-sells (Product data → Linked Products), then shared categories and tags. Setting those on your best products gives better lists immediately.

4. Connect AI (optional)

  1. Choose a provider

    AI → Provider: pick a card, paste your API key and click Save Key.

  2. Model and test

    Keep the provider default model, Save Changes, then Test Connection.

  3. Keep AI + Rules

    On General, the engine is AI + Rules by default.

  • AI & Integrations tab: Provider, Limits & Usage, Ranking & Privacy and Integrations (Pro) sub-tabs
  • AI Provider card: one card per provider, each with its own status
  • Connection card: API key with Save Key
  • "How to connect" guide for the selected provider in the sidebar

5. Watch the first AI picks

AI rankings are generated in the background the first time a product's list is shown. Open a product's edit screen: the AI Recommendations box shows its AI picks with a reason for each. Use Generate now to create them immediately. See AI picks per product.

Set New AI Rankings to Require My Approval (AI → Ranking & Privacy). Rule-based lists show until you approve each product's picks.
