Cart goal
A progress bar that shows how much more the shopper needs to spend for free shipping or any goal you set: a proven way to raise order value.
- The goal message with the truck icon at the top of the Side Cart (here the goal is reached: "You've unlocked free shipping!")
- The progress bar with "subtotal / goal amount" under it
Settings
Free Shipping or Custom Amount. This is a label for you: both use the Goal Amount below, and the messages are what shoppers see.
Match your store's free shipping minimum (WooCommerce โ Settings โ Shipping), or any cart-value goal. Whole numbers only. Converted to the shopper's currency with WooCommerce Multilingual.
"Add {amount} more to unlock free shipping!" {amount} is replaced by the amount still needed, in your store's price format. If you use a custom goal, change the wording to match.
"You've unlocked free shipping!"
Also colors the icon circle. Applying a design preset on the Appearance tab changes it to the preset's primary color; click Save Changes here too to keep that.
Top shows the bar above everything else in the cart; Bottom shows it after the items, recommendations and content blocks, just above the subtotal.
How the goal is calculated
- Progress = the cart's item subtotal before tax and coupon discounts, out of the Goal Amount. Shipping isn't counted.
- The bar shows in both the Mini Cart and the Side Cart when the cart has items (never in an empty cart), with "subtotal / goal" under it. It updates with every cart change.
- A Goal Amount of 0 shows the goal as already reached.
- WooCommerce decides the real free shipping. If your free shipping method counts prices including tax, or after discounts, set the Goal Amount so the two agree.
