Why segments?

A segment is a reusable set of campaign conditions with a name, like "High-value carts" or "Returning customers who clicked". Instead of repeating the same conditions in several campaigns, save them once and use the Saved segment condition. Change the segment, and every campaign that uses it follows.

Creating a segment

  1. Name it

Enter a Name (up to 80 characters).

  2. Add conditions

A new segment starts with "Cart value is at least 50". Use Add condition for more (up to 10). A cart is in the segment only when it matches every condition.

  3. Check the live count

As you edit, the builder counts matching carts: "12 of 87 open carts match."

  4. Save segment

"Segment saved." It appears in the Saved Segments table.

Segment ideas

High-value carts

Cart value is at least 150: send a personal email with a smaller, premium-feeling offer.

Clicked but didn't buy

Recovery link engagement is clicked: they came back once, so a coupon may tip them over.

Loyal customers

Previous orders is at least 2: a friendly reminder, no discount needed.

Serial abandoners

Recovery emails in the last 90 days is at least 3: exclude them from coupon campaigns.

Live counts

Counts cover open carts, meaning carts that are abandoned or emailed and not yet recovered, up to the 500 most recent. The builder updates the count as you type. In the Saved Segments table, click Count to check a segment.

Managing segments

Using a segment in a campaign

In the campaign builder, add the condition Saved segment, choose is or is not, and pick the segment from the list.
