Compatibility

Block and shortcode pages

Whether your Cart and Checkout pages contain the WooCommerce blocks or the classic shortcodes (or a page builder around them), Siteryn Checkout renders your design: the page's content is replaced by WooCommerce's own Cart or Checkout output, so other content on those pages is not shown. On the Cart page this applies only while Cart page behavior is "Siteryn Customized Cart"; with "Standard WooCommerce Cart" the page renders as it is. System Status shows each page's type. On block themes the Thank You (order received) page uses your design too.

Themes

• The builder canvas loads your theme's styles (as recorded from your storefront Cart and Checkout), so what you design is what shoppers see. The Preview dialog does not load the theme's styles.
• A theme that ships its own woocommerce/cart/cart.php (or cart/cart-empty.php), woocommerce/checkout/form-checkout.php or woocommerce/checkout/thankyou.php override takes priority, and the builder design is not used for that page. Remove or rename the override to use the builder.
• Distraction-free checkout hides common header and footer navigation patterns (.site-header nav, .main-navigation, footer.site-footer). Some themes use other markup and may need a line of CSS.

Payment gateways and express checkout

The checkout is one real WooCommerce form, and WooCommerce's customer-details, order-review and Thank You hooks still fire. Stripe, PayPal, express buttons (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and gateway Thank You instructions keep working. Keep the Payment Instructions element on the Thank You page; gateways depend on it.

HPOS and performance

• Compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage. Orders are read only through WooCommerce's order API.
• Each Cart or Checkout request reads and validates its design once. Assets load only where needed.

Caching

Cart and Checkout are excluded from page caches by WooCommerce and every major caching plugin. The Buy Now button works on cached product pages. Only emptying the cart ("Buy only this product") needs a fresh security token, and it is skipped safely otherwise.

Multilingual sites

• WPML and Polylang: Cart and Checkout pages are resolved per language. The plugin's wpml-config.xml lists the classic settings texts (coupon label, empty-cart message and button, Place Order label, Thank You message and button) for string translation; they feed the default design used before you publish.
• Texts inside builder designs (headings, labels and notes you type in the builder) are not registered for string translation. For a fully translated checkout, keep wording generic or use your translation plugin's page/content translation.
• Pro custom field labels, placeholders and choices are translatable ("Siteryn Checkout Pro" context).

Accessibility

Keyboard-reachable builder controls and live announcements in the editor; on the storefront, multi-step announcements, focus management, aria-current steps, accessible quantity steppers and reduced-motion support.
