Troubleshooting

Solutions for the most common issues. System Status shows your versions and settings at a glance.

FreePro

Nothing happens; normal page numbers still show

  1. Check Enable Infinite Scroll and the archive switches on the General tab.
  2. The archive needs more than one page of products.
  3. Tag, attribute, brand and page builder grids need Pro.
  4. Your theme uses custom product markup: set the Product List and Next Page Link selectors.
  5. Clear page, CDN and JavaScript optimization caches. Exclude the plugin's script from "delay JavaScript" features if products never load.

Page numbers still show on page 2 and later

That's by design. When a shopper opens a later page directly (for example /page/3/), your theme's page links stay visible so they can get back to the earlier pages. Loading still continues with the next page below.

Page numbers disappear, but no products are added

The Product selector doesn't match your theme's product elements. It must match the products directly inside the product list. See Finding your theme's selectors.

It stops after one page, or says "You've seen all the products" too soon

The Next Page Link selector doesn't match your theme's "next" link. Set it on the Theme Compatibility tab.

The wrong product list loads more products

The first matching list on the page is used. If another product grid (for example in the shop description) appears above the main one, add the class siteryn-is-disable to it.

Quick view, wishlist, swatches or sliders don't work on new products

Those scripts ran before the new products existed. Most popular plugins listen for WordPress's post-load event, which fires after every load. For others, ask the theme or plugin developer to use the loader's events.

Add to cart reloads the page on new products

In block themes, buttons on newly loaded products use WooCommerce's classic AJAX add to cart when it's available; otherwise they fall back to a normal link that reloads the page. Turn on Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives under WooCommerce โ†’ Settings โ†’ Products.

The "Showing 1โ€“16 of 40 results" text doesn't update

Set the Result Count selector to your theme's element. "Showing all 8 results" (single-page) texts aren't changed.

"We couldn't load more products." appears

The next page didn't load within 20 seconds, returned an error, wasn't an HTML page, redirected to another site, or didn't contain the product list. Open the next page address (your theme's "next" link) directly to see what it returns, and check that the Product List selector matches on that page too.

Use the Load More Button mode, set On Small Screens to "Always use the Load More button", or with Pro choose Hybrid.

Back from a product returns to the first page

Free doesn't change the address while loading. Pro's URL & History Sync and Return to the Same Spot bring shoppers back to the same product.

It stops working after using a filter

AJAX filter plugins replace the products without reloading. Pro handles YITH, FacetWP, JetSmartFilters, HUSKY and BeRocket.

My selector was reset after saving

Selectors with characters outside the standard selector set (such as / \ @ { } ; <), empty selectors and selectors over 300 characters are replaced with the default. Use a class-based selector. See Selector rules.

Pro features don't appear on the storefront Pro

  1. The License tab must show Active (a "Pro preview" banner on the Pro tabs means it isn't). After renewing, click Check again.
  2. An archive rule may set a different mode for that archive.
  3. Clear your caches.

Numbered pages: "Try again" adds products below instead of switching Pro

A failed page switch in Numbered or Previous / Next shows the error message, and its Try again button appends the next page in 1.0.0. Click the page number again instead.

"Pro is almost ready"

"Siteryn Infinite Scroll Pro is almost ready" means Pro needs the Free plugin and WooCommerce active. This notice also appears when WooCommerce is inactive, even if Free is active: activate WooCommerce. A separate notice asks you to update the Free plugin when it's older than Pro needs; Pro features are paused until then, and your Free settings keep working.

Still stuck?
