Pro & license
Pro adds modal templates, a full gallery, swatches, a quantity stepper, product suggestions, custom triggers and keyboard navigation. Your Free settings keep working.
Where Pro's settings are
| Tab | Covers |
|---|---|
| Modal Design | Templates, shape, detail order and extra parts |
| Gallery | Every product image in the modal |
| Swatches & Quantity | Variation swatches and plus/minus quantity |
| Related & Cross-sells | Product suggestions |
| Triggers & Accessibility | Image and title triggers, shortcode, navigation and focus |
| License | Activation and status |
Pro's five feature tabs carry a PRO badge and sit right after Free's Add to Cart tab; License comes just before System Status. The Get Premium tab disappears once Pro is active, and System Status adds Pro Version and Pro License (Active or Inactive) cards. Pro's settings are saved separately from Free's; each Pro tab has its own Reset to Defaults. On the Plugins screen, Pro's Settings link opens the License tab.
Activating your license
- Install Pro next to Free
Free and WooCommerce must stay active.
- Open License
Paste your key into the key field and click Activate (or press Enter). The status shows Active (or Active (Lifetime)), with the key masked to its first and last four characters and, unless the license is lifetime, a Renews/expires date.
- Set up Pro
Start with Modal Design. Most Pro features are on by default.
- Status pill, Renews/expires date, masked key and Deactivate button
License messages
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| That license key is not valid. | Check for missing characters or spaces. |
| That license key is for a different product. | Use the Quick View key. |
| Please enter a license key. | The key field was empty. |
| This license has reached its site limit. Deactivate it on another site first. | Click Deactivate on the other site's License tab first. |
| The license server could not verify this site's address. | Check your site address under Settings → General. |
| Could not reach the license server. Please try again. | Your server couldn't connect to siteryn.com; try again or ask your host. Also shown when Deactivate can't reach the server: the site stays activated until it can. |
| Activation failed. Please try again. | Try again, or contact support. |
Before activation: preview
Without an active license, each Pro tab shows a Pro preview banner, "Activate your license to use this feature", with Activate license (opens the License tab) and Get a license buttons. You can look at every setting, but the controls are disabled, the Save Changes button and the Reset to Defaults card are hidden, and nothing is saved: a save that gets through anyway returns you to the License tab with "Add your license key to save Pro settings." Your store runs on the Free settings only.
License checks & lapses
- The license is re-checked with siteryn.com every 12 hours. If it can't be reached, the last known status is kept and the check is retried after an hour.
- When a license expires, Pro's features switch off on your store within 12 hours and the Free modal is used. Pro settings are kept and return when you renew.
- Possible statuses: Active, Active (Lifetime), Expired, Revoked, Cancelled, Not Activated on This Site and Inactive (no key yet, or any other state). Only the two Active statuses turn Pro on.
Updates
While licensed, Pro updates appear under Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin.
Moving to another site or staging
Each site address is a separate activation. Click Deactivate on the License tab before moving or deleting the site; deactivating or deleting the plugin doesn't free the activation.
Deactivating and deleting Pro
Deactivating Pro restores the Free modal and keeps everything. On the Plugins screen, deactivating Pro opens a short, optional survey; Skip & Deactivate sends nothing. Deleting Pro removes its settings, license key and cached license status (on every site of a multisite network); Free's settings stay.
