Logged-in sync

Sync the wishlist across a customer's devices while logged in

For logged-in customers, the wishlist is saved to their account as well as their browser.
On each page load, what's in the browser and what's on the account are combined, so a list saved as a guest joins the account at the next sign-in, and a list from another device appears too.
Works silently in the background; nothing changes on screen.
Up to 100 items per list on the account.

Sync combines lists and doesn't delete: an item removed on one device can come back from another device that still has it. Remove it on each device, or open the wishlist on each device after removing.

The browser list isn't cleared when someone logs out, so on a shared computer the next person to sign in can get those items too.

The Default Wishlist is the browser list the heart buttons fill. Only Logged-in sync saves it to the account, so with Multiple wishlists on its own the switcher shows Default Wishlist (0) and its items get no alerts.

Managing lists

The My Wishlists switcher on the wishlist page lists the Default Wishlist and each extra list, each with its item count, e.g. "Birthday List (2)".
+ New wishlist… opens "Create a new wishlist" (placeholder "e.g. Birthday List"); click Create. The new, empty list is selected ("This wishlist is empty.").
When an extra list is selected you get Rename, a Private / Public (shareable link) menu, Copy share link (only while public) and Delete ("This cannot be undone -- every item in this wishlist will be lost."). The Default Wishlist has none of these, so it can't be renamed, deleted or made public.

If you pick an existing extra list in the switcher, its controls appear but the page still shows the Default Wishlist (or "Your wishlist is empty."). The items aren't shown. The count in the switcher and the list's public link are still correct. See Known issues.

Adding items to a list

The heart buttons always add to the Default Wishlist. On the wishlist page, each item has an Add to list… menu that copies it into another list ("Added!"), or into a new one with + New wishlist…. The item stays in the Default Wishlist too.

Limits

Up to 20 lists per customer (including the default) and 100 items per list.

Public list links

A public list's link (the wishlist page with ?siteryn_wishlist_pro_shared=…) can be opened by anyone, shows "Someone shared this wishlist with you:" and the list's products with Add to my wishlist, and stops working when the list is set back to Private. If the clipboard is blocked, Copy share link shows the link in a box to copy by hand.
