Troubleshooting
Solutions for the most common issues. System Status shows your versions at a glance.
The button doesn't show on shop pages
- Check Enable Wishlist and Shop & category pages, and (for logged-out visitors) Allow Guest Wishlist.
- Most themes that build their own product cards are handled automatically. If it still doesn't appear (for example cards that skip WooCommerce's product classes), add
[siteryn_wishlist_button]to the card orsiteryn_wishlist_button()in the theme's template. Theme developers can register their card action with thesiteryn_wishlist_card_hooksfilter. - Clear page and CDN caches.
The button doesn't show on product pages
In a fully block-based product template, add a Shortcode block with [siteryn_wishlist_button] next to the Add to Cart block.
Items disappeared from my wishlist
- Products that are deleted, unpublished, private or hidden from the catalog are removed when the wishlist page opens.
- With WooCommerce → Settings → Products → "Hide out of stock items from the catalog" on, out-of-stock products are removed too.
- Lists longer than 100 products are trimmed to 100.
- The Free wishlist lives in the browser: clearing site data, a private window or another device starts a new list. Pro sync keeps it on the account.
The wishlist page is blank
Check Enable Wishlist is on and the page contains [siteryn_wishlist]. If you chose your own page under Wishlist page, add the shortcode to it.
The heart covers my "Sale!" badge
Change Spot on the image to a corner away from the badge (WooCommerce's Sale badge usually sits top right; the default spot is Top left), or set Position to After the title, After the price or After Add to Cart.
The button moved or changed after updating
Shop cards now use the Position setting (default On the image, top left). If your button used to sit under Add to cart, set Position to After Add to Cart. Alignment no longer picks the image corner; use Spot on the image. Corners are square by default (Corner radius 0); set 999 for a round button.
The button doesn't look like my theme's Add to Cart
With Position After Add to Cart, turn on Match theme's Add to Cart.
The icon only shows when I hover
Show only on hover is on. Touch screens always show it.
The tooltip shows '
Avoid apostrophes and ampersands in the tooltip texts, or use a typographic apostrophe (’).
Pro
- Tabs show "Pro preview": activate your license under License, then turn on each feature.
- No back-in-stock or price-drop emails: turn on Logged-in sync (with only Multiple wishlists on, just items copied into a named list are watched); alerts go only to logged-in customers. Make sure WP-Cron runs and your site can send email (an SMTP plugin helps). See Stock & price alerts.
- A removed item came back: another device still had it; see sync.
- The header icon doesn't appear: set an Anchor selector matching an element in your header. See placement.
- Wishlist page buttons changed after activating Pro: Add to cart is on by default, so every page button takes Wishlist Page → Buttons (blue, pill corners). Change it there.
- Columns, spacing, width, background or padding don't apply: turn on Customize layout & content.
- An old link to AI Connector, AI, Insights or Content opens General: those tabs are now AI Integration and AI Studio.
- Estimate "Session expired": the page was cached too long; refresh it, or exclude the wishlist page from the cache.
- The switcher shows "Default Wishlist (0)" although the list has items: turn on Logged-in sync as well, so the Default Wishlist is saved to the account. See Multiple wishlists.
Known issues
- Choosing another list in "My Wishlists" doesn't show its items: with Multiple wishlists on, picking an existing list other than the Default Wishlist shows that list's controls (Rename, privacy, Delete), but the page keeps showing the Default Wishlist or "Your wishlist is empty.". The list's items and count are still saved, and its public link shows them. See Managing lists.
