Pro & license
Pro adds account sync, multiple wishlists, sharing, add to cart, alerts, estimates, insights and more, each switched on separately. The Free plugin keeps working on its own.
Where Pro's settings are
| Tab | Covers |
|---|---|
| Social Sharing | Share links and social buttons |
| Header Wishlist Icon | Header icon with a live count, optional admin bar link |
| Wishlist Page | Layout, content, buttons and colors, add to cart |
| Ask for an Estimate | Quote requests |
| Advanced | Sync and multiple wishlists, back-in-stock and price-drop emails, widget, custom CSS |
| AI Integration | Wishlist activity recording, optional AI with your own provider: provider, key, model and limits |
| AI Studio | Activity figures, segments and AI reports, copy and email drafts |
| License | Activation and status |
Pro's settings are saved separately from Free's. Most features ship switched off; turn on just the ones you want. Two are on from the start: the per-item Add to cart button and Add all to cart.
Activating your license
- Install Pro next to Free
Free and WooCommerce must be active.
- Open License
Paste your key into "Paste your license key" and click Activate. The status shows Active (or Active (Lifetime)) with "Renews/expires" and the date, and the key masked (first and last 4 characters). The Plugins screen's Settings link opens this tab.
- Turn on features
Each feature has its own switch (on Wishlist Page it's Customize layout & content; Add to cart is already on). AI Studio's figures need activity recording; its AI reports and drafts also need an AI provider.
- Status "Active" with the renewal date and masked key
- Deactivate button
Other statuses: Expired, Revoked, Cancelled, Not Activated on This Site and Inactive. Deactivate frees the activation for another site. System Status also shows a Pro License card (Active or Inactive).
The license is re-checked every 12 hours. Activations are tied to your site address, so a staging copy on another address counts as another site. If the license server can't be reached, Pro keeps working with the last known status.
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| That license key is not valid. | Check you copied the whole key. |
| That license key is for a different product. | Use your Wishlist Pro key. |
| Could not reach the license server. Please try again. | Your server can't make outgoing HTTPS requests; try again or ask your host. |
| Please enter a license key. | The key box was empty. |
| Activation failed. Please try again. | Any other refusal; often the license is already used on its maximum number of sites. |
Before you activate
Every Pro tab can be explored as a Pro preview: a banner reads "Activate your license to use this feature" with Activate license and Get a license buttons, the controls are disabled and there's no Save button. Saving and resetting Pro settings is refused until then, and nothing Pro runs on your store. Free's own tabs are never affected.
If a license lapses
- Pro features stop on the storefront: the wishlist page goes back to Free's list view, and sync, multiple wishlists, sharing buttons, add to cart, the estimate form, the header icon, the widget, alert emails and activity recording stop.
- Settings, customers' saved lists and estimate requests are kept; Estimate Requests stays reachable in wp-admin.
- Public share links of saved lists keep opening.
Deleting Pro
Deleting Pro removes its settings, license key, saved AI keys, customers' saved account lists and share links, alert watches and the activity table. Estimate requests are kept (they stay in the database as their own posts). Free's settings and shoppers' browser wishlists are untouched.
