Requirements

Software	Minimum
WordPress	6.4 (tested up to 7.1)
PHP	7.4, with the libsodium extension for key encryption
WooCommerce	Optional. Shop features need 8.0 or newer (tested up to 11.1).
AI provider	Optional. Your own account with a supported provider.
Pro add-on	Siteryn AI Support Agent (Free) 1.0.0 or newer, plus an active Pro license

Install the Free plugin

Add the plugin
Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Siteryn AI Support Agent, or upload the zip.
Activate
The plugin creates its two conversation tables and schedules a daily cleanup.
Open the settings
Siteryn → AI Support Agent. The first time you open the admin, the plugin reads your site and writes a starter Knowledge Base (contact, location, what you offer, shipping, payment, returns, orders, privacy) for you to check.

With the default settings, the chat appears on every page right after activation, using basic answers from your content until you connect an AI provider. Turn Enable Support Chat off on the Chat Widget tab if you want to prepare everything first.

Admins need manage_woocommerce on a shop, or manage_options otherwise.

Install the Pro add-on Pro

Upload Pro next to Free
Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.
Activate your license
Siteryn → AI Support Agent → License. See Pro & license.

Pro uses the AI provider and key from the Free plugin; there's nothing extra to connect.

Notices

PHP or WordPress too old: a notice, and activation is refused.
WooCommerce older than 8.0: the chat works, but shop features stay off until you update WooCommerce.
Pro without Free: "Siteryn AI Support Agent Pro is almost ready" with an Install or Activate button.

Deactivating and deleting

Action	What happens
Deactivate	The chat disappears and the daily cleanup stops. Everything is kept.
Delete Free	Removes settings, saved API keys, usage counters, caches and both conversation tables. Knowledge Base entries are kept unless you turned on Remove Knowledge Base under Privacy & Usage.
Delete Pro	Removes Pro's settings, statistics and license data, and the Support Agent role (people keep their accounts).
