Where to find it
All Siteryn plugins share one top-level Siteryn menu. Its first item, Welcome, lists each installed Siteryn plugin with a Manage settings link. Abandoned Cart has its own item, Abandoned Cart, with these tabs:
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | Recovery at a glance: carts left behind, carts recovered and the revenue they brought. More |
| Carts | Every recorded cart with its customer, products, value and recovery timeline. More |
| Cart Tracking | Which carts are recorded, consent at checkout, exclusions, when a cart counts as abandoned, and how long records are kept. More |
| Recovery Email | The email customers get after leaving a cart: content, design, admin notifications and unsubscribe. More |
| Get Premium | Everything Pro adds, with a Free vs Pro comparison. Hidden once Pro is active. |
| System Status | Read-only diagnostics to include when you contact support. More |
Only users who can manage WooCommerce (the manage_woocommerce capability, which administrators and shop managers have) can see these screens.

Download the Pro zip from your account on siteryn.com.

Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, click Install Now and then Activate.
- Activate your license
Open Siteryn → Abandoned Cart → License, paste your key and click Activate. Only administrators can do this. License details.

Open the Campaigns tab. See Recovery campaigns.
Pro adds these tabs, all marked with a PRO badge: Analytics, Segments, Campaigns, Sending Rules, Reports, Integrations, On-Site Prompt, AI Connector, AI Writing and License.
Requirement notices
The plugin checks its requirements on every admin page and explains what is missing instead of failing:
| Situation | What you see |
|---|---|
| WooCommerce missing, inactive or older than 8.0 | "Siteryn Abandoned Cart is almost ready". Cart tracking and recovery stay off. The notice has an Install WooCommerce or Activate WooCommerce button. |
| PHP older than 7.4 | "…requires PHP 7.4 or higher. Your site is running PHP x. Please ask your host to upgrade PHP." |
| WordPress older than 6.4 | "…requires WordPress 6.4 or higher… Please update WordPress." |
| PHP or WordPress too old at activation | Activation stops with "Plugin activation error" and the plugin stays inactive. |
- Deactivate WooCommerce temporarily
- Capture the "is almost ready" notice with its button
Updates
- Free updates through WordPress like any other plugin.
- Pro updates through the normal WordPress updater while your license is active. Update checks are cached for 12 hours. Without a saved license key, no update is offered.
- Settings are migrated automatically after an update: new settings get their defaults, settings that no longer exist are removed, and nothing you configured is lost. The plugin's database tables are created or upgraded automatically.
Deactivating and deleting
| Action | What happens |
|---|---|
| Deactivate Free | Scheduled tasks stop. Settings and saved carts are kept. |
| Delete Free | Removes its settings, its secret key, the cart table and the unsubscribe list, plus transients and locks, on every site of a multisite network. Your WooCommerce orders are never changed. |
| Deactivate Pro | Pro's scheduled tasks stop. Everything is kept. |
| Delete Pro | Removes Pro's settings, secrets (license, webhook and AI keys), campaigns, segments, saved email templates, its two tables and transients. Coupons already issued stay in WooCommerce, because orders may refer to them. |
Orders keep two small fields: _siteryn_abandoned_cart_id (the cart they came from) and _siteryn_abandoned_cart_recovered (placed after a recovery). To remove both when you delete Free, add this line to wp-config.php first. The orders themselves are never changed or deleted.
define( 'SITERYN_ABANDONED_CART_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true );
The deactivation survey
When you deactivate, a short optional survey asks why. Skip & Deactivate sends nothing. Submit & Deactivate sends your answer (and any detail you typed, such as which plugin you switched to), the plugin and its version, your WordPress, PHP and WooCommerce versions, your admin language and the site URL to siteryn.com. Your email is sent only if you tick "You may contact me about this".
