Installation
Install the Free plugin on any WordPress site. WooCommerce is optional: with it, products and product categories get the same SEO tools plus product checks.

Install the Free plugin
- Add the plugin
Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for Siteryn SEO, GEO & AEO, or upload the zip. Activate it.
- Open the settings
Siteryn → SEO, GEO & AEO. It opens on the Overview with your next steps.
- Open any post or page
The SEO, GEO & AEO box below the editor shows the search preview, the fields and the analysis.

Each settings tab has a Reset to Defaults card that resets only that tab. Settings save without reloading the page.
Who can do what
- Administrators (
manage_options) manage the settings, Overview, audits and Health Checks. - Anyone who can edit an entry (Editors, Authors on their own posts, Contributors on their drafts) can edit its SEO box, including canonical, robots and schema.
- Category and tag SEO is on the term's Edit screen, for users who can edit terms.
Coming from another SEO plugin
Keep one SEO plugin in charge of each page's title, description, canonical and social tags. If Yoast SEO, Rank Math, AIOSEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework, Slim SEO or Squirrly is active, Health Checks reports it and explains how to avoid duplicate tags. Nothing is changed automatically, and SEO data saved by other plugins is not imported.
Install the Pro add-on Pro
- Upload Pro next to Free
Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, then activate.
- Activate your license
Pro Settings → License. See Pro & license.
Notices
- PHP or WordPress too old: a notice, and the plugin stays inactive.
- WooCommerce older than 8.0: product SEO tools stay off until WooCommerce is updated; everything else works.
- Your theme overrides
head-meta.phpwith an outdated copy: a notice lists the file to update. See Templates.
Deactivating and deleting
Deactivating stops all output; everything is kept. Deleting removes settings, caches, the 404 log and audit results. Your SEO fields are kept unless you turn on Remove SEO Data (Data & Uninstall). Image alt text is never removed.
